February is national age related macular degeneration (AMD) and low vision awareness month.

American Heart Month

American Heart month is a national reminder for American families to turn their attention toward the nation's #1 killer - heart disease. celebrate American Heart Month by motivating Americans to adopt healthy lifestyles to prevent heart disease. Focusing on your heart health has never been more important. People with poor cardiovascular health are also at increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19. International Prenatal Infection Prevention Month

National Children’s Dental Health Month

This month-long national health observance brings together thousands of dedicated professionals, healthcare providers, and educators to promote the benefits of good oral health to children, their caregivers, teachers and many others. Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month

Dating violence is more common than people think, especially among teens and young adults: one in three teens in the US will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from someone they’re in a relationship with before they become adults, and nearly half (43%) of college women report experiencing violent or abusive dating behaviors. African Heritage and Health Week (first week of February)

African Heritage & Health Week also draws attention to inequitable health issues around and the US as well as medical problems that affect African American communities. Chronic health conditions like diabetes and heart disease are common among African Americans. Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week (Feb. 3–9)

Addressing mental health is the responsibility of an entire community. Covid-19 affected everyone but especially impacted children. While in many cases, children and youth have been able to spend more time with their parents or primary caregivers, many others are grieving the loss of peer interaction, social connection, and time spent in person with other vital, caring adults, and community members. World Cancer Day (Feb. 4)

World Cancer Day is an international day marked on February 4 to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. National Donor Day (Feb. 14)

National Donor Day is an observance dedicated to spreading awareness and education about organ, eye and tissue donation. Condom Week (Feb. 14–21)

Eating Disorders Awareness and Screening Week (Feb. 24–March 1)
